At Corteva, we strengthen the future of agriculture through the innovative seeds, traits, crop protection products, and digital solutions we deliver to farmers. The Corteva Agriscience Woodland Research & Development Center is uniquely situated to provide support for testing these products. We are focused on protecting and preserving the source of our food and helping our agricultural communities thrive.

A Commitment to Growing Progress

Our Woodland R&D Center was established in 1983 as a corn drought stress management facility for Pioneer Hybrid International.  In 2019, the site shifted to the newly-founded, pure-play agriculture company, Corteva Agriscience.  With this transition, our Woodland R&D Center became an industry leading multi-crop, multi-function facility.   We support field testing for drought, corn pathology, digital agriculture solutions, as well as herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide testing.  We host over thirty crops and multiple disciplines. This site showcases the diversity in agriculture that Woodland provides.

Dedicated to Agriculture

Corteva Agriscience is the only major agriscience company completely dedicated to agriculture.  The Woodland R&D Center strives to support our community and highlight the unique environment that Woodland and California provide.  We connect our researchers to our customers so that we can better shape the future of agriculture.

Our Home in Woodland

“Woodland offers a very unique environment for field testing.  With our warm dry summers and cool wet winters, Woodland allows us to control our in-field variables throughout the growing season.  Our location in the Sacramento Valley provides the opportunity to host many crops and thus many forms of testing needed to innovate in the agriculture space.”
